Surrogate Selves refers to the bond we form with the objects we interact with daily. They become extension of our own selves. This is a project about designing functional ceramic objects, handmade and inspired by human anatomy and fictional characters that can either reflect us or become us. The story behind each object explores identity, its construction and its transformations.

The “BLOWZY” mirror is part of a series of mirrors inspired by different types of hairstyles, which you can try on when you see yourself reflected in them. Each mirror has a name and invites you to meet a particular character.
