Măiastra: A History of Romanian Sculpture in Twenty-Four Parts is a work of experimental fiction by visual artist Timothy Stanley. Using a combination of narrative techniques, Măiastra explores the accomplished perspective of Professor Igor Gyalakuthy, a retired art historian and widower, who is crafting a treatise on the plastic art of his homeland before time and the ravages of mental illness take him.
